Microsoft introduces premium subscription for their Copilot.

Microsoft sets pricing for premium Copilot

The tech giant Microsoft increased their pricing of the premium Chatbot AI. It is now at $20 per user. The option is called Copilot Pro gives access to a number of additional capabilities. The company said that it is the goal to build a personalized AI for every of their customers.

The features of Copilot from Microsoft

The paid version of the AI gives you the latest updates and improved image generation, as well as better AI models. Microsoft’s Copilot has been part of the Microsoft environment since last year. It complements programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote. With Copilot, you can navigate through the entire ecosystem and even do things like write text in Word.

The company says that Copilot Pro will be a personalised version of Copilot. It will offer a better individual experience and give access to Microsoft’s image creator. With a paid version, users will be able to customise their own Chat GPT, so to speak.

Large companies will also be able to get their version. This version will be even more specialized to include their own content. This means that the Copilot will not only analyze data from the internet, but also from internal information given in the different applications. This version will cost more, however, with a monthly fee of $30.

The future of Copilot Pro

Microsoft is now investing $10 billion over 10 years in OpenAI and its services. The aim is to compete with or even beat Google. Although Google is still the most used search engine, some people are already switching to Microsoft’s Bing because of its chatbot. This chatbot is particularly useful when you need information quickly and don’t want to search through all the different websites and pages. What will be a challenge for the company, however, are the copyrights. This was a big issue just a few weeks ago when The New York Times sued OpenAI and Microsoft over copyright issues. The problem is that the chatbot uses and provides information from articles that you would normally have to pay for.

In the future, it’s hard to imagine the average user paying $20 a month, but it’s a great opportunity for those who want their personalised AI to do a lot of tasks for them. It can also be very useful for large and small businesses. Perhaps Microsoft will make a cheaper version for the average user, but for now there are only these two options.

Microsoft’s impact on the stock market

The most important thing for the company, however, is that it now has revenue from AI, and that could make investors bullish on the company. In addition to all the new AI features, Microsoft has recently introduced a new key on its Windows keyboards that is only used to activate Copilot. This key provides instant access to the company’s Copilot on the user’s PC.

All this shows how serious Microsoft is about AI. Although it is not the only one, as Google, for example, is also trying to sell access to its Duet AI platform. Companies such as Amazon and Salesforce are also looking to make money from AI in the future.
